3 sororities, 3 fraternities, one college campus, 216 greeks, raging parties, hook-ups, make-ups, break-ups, friendships, enemies. And it all happens here at Morningside University. Being Greek at Morningside University equals power and popularity, especially in the long run of life.
Morningside University is located in Atlantic City, New Jersey about 10 minutes away from the Atlantic coast and beach. The university was founded by Walter L. Simmons, a businessman looking to expand on education. Morningside opened in 1971, without any Greek system in the school's agenda. By 1983, that all changed. The six sororities and fraternities houses were built and the titles and presidents were put into place. Today, all of these sororities and fraternities have their own reputation at Morningside, and everyone knows pretty much everyone in the Greek System.
The tree sororities, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Delta Gamma and Gamma Phi Beta are the only soroities at Morningside. Sure, their names might sound similar but their reputations are far from similar. Kappa Kappa Gamma is dubbed as the beauty queen and preppy soroity, but they always find themselves fighting for the wrong guys as the Delta Gammas steal them from them. The Delta Gamma are the 'slut' soroity, they go after all of the taken guys and sleep with whomever they can all of the time. As for the Gamm Phi Beta, they all are looking towards the future like starting a career and a family.
The three fraternities, Alpha Tau Omega, Sigma Chi, Omega Tau Chi are the only fraternities at Morningside. All of the frats usually seem to get along most of the time. The Alpha Tau Omegas are the leaders, they have the top academic futures on campus and most of them are in relationships. The Simga Chi is the party fraternity, they organize most of the random parties as well as the events, they hate committment especially with the ladies. As for the Omega Tau Chi, they have strong ties with the Kappa Kappa Gammas, and are looking towards the future outside of the Greek system as well.
See how different these fraternites and sororities generally are? But, when scandal emerges things can get ugly, drama will be at an all-time high and people will turn their backs on you when they need you the most. Breaking the bond of brotherhood and sisterhood. But doesn't it seem like you're back in high school all over again? Hell no, you're a GREEK now.
